Freestanding ranges and wall ovens take daily heat and heavy use. When one stops heating evenly, won’t hold temperature or has a door that no longer closes properly, it needs a closer look than a quick glance at the outside.

Three things that speed up a reply

You don’t need to know what’s broken — that’s our job. But these details help us get started.

The appliance & model

Brand, model number and roughly how old it is. The rating plate is usually inside the door, on the back or underneath.

What it’s doing

Describe the symptom: noises, smells, error codes, lights, or the point in a cycle where it stops.

A photo or two

A picture of the rating plate and of the problem area helps us understand the job before we reply.
